The Sickle Cell Society Ireland is inviting you to its official Strategic plan launch and Outcome report of a project funded by  The Community Foundation for Ireland and supported by Irish Blood Transfusion Service and Sickle Cell Society UK

Speakers include:

Emer Costello, Labour Dublin Member EP Employment and Social Affairs Committee chair EP Palestine Delegation, Former Lord Mayor of Dublin 2009/10 ans City Councillor 2003-12.
Dr Corrina McMahon – Consultant Heamatoligist Sickle Cell & Thalassemia Centre our Ladies Hospital Crumlin.
Professor Simon Dyson – Professor of Applied Sociology and is Director of the Unit for the Social Study of Thalassaemia and Sickle Cell at De Montfort University, UK.
The outcome report to be launched is based on the project that Mobilised and engaged parents/guardians through leadership training to active citizenship in outreach and developing their own peer support network on sickle cell.

The Sickle Cell Society Ireland is the official umbrella Organisation for all sickle cell support groups in Ireland. We are a parent-led Organisation working at local, National, International and European levels. The Sickle Cell Society now holds the PESCA presidency at the sickle cell EU advocacy front.

This project is supported by Community Foundation for Ireland, National Blood Transfusion Centre (St James Hospital) and Pan European Sickle Cell Alliance (PESCA)
